Allison's Fight going well!

I will start off by saying, sorry for not keeping followers updated but at this point, no updates pretty much means Allison is doing well.  Since her June procedure, she has had oupatient ketamine infusions lasting for 4 hours on three consecutive days each month since July.  She just finished her last round this past Friday and now will begin going every other month for the time being.  Believe it or not, we still have not received our hospital bill as the insurance company and hospital are still back and forth about who is going to pay for what.  We have the feeling that the hospital will be sending us a bill soon.  Anyway, donations keep trickling in here and there and we just broke $23,000 last week.  Thanks again to everyone who has supported Allison and our entire family since we began this journey.

  1. Thanks so much for sharing this information. I too, will be going through this procedure and appreciate reading your experience. It will help me prepare. Thanks for doing this!

  2. how about a january post please. my wife cries every morning but she is a nurse and knows about the adverse effects of ketamine and is not willing to do the procedure. has allison made it to the every other month phase yet? good luck and thank you

  3. My wife is getting 3 four hour infusions of 60mg per hour every 6 to 10 weeks with no adverse affects other than being pain free. Her doctor out of Drexel University, has been studying RSD and working with ketamine for over 20 years as well as treating patients with ketamine for over 11 and all are doing well. There is always a possibility of having things go wrong with anything you do but worrying about it isn't worth the daily physical pain. Life is just too damn short.

  4. Greg and Allison,

I hope you are continuing to do well. I would love to read an update as to how things are going. It is so encouraging to hear when another person beats RSD.
